The President will appoint a Nominating Committee no later than the September General Business Meeting. The Nominating Committee will present a slate of officers at October General Business Meeting. The membership will vote at the November General Business Meeting. The new officers will be installed at the December General Business Meeting and will take office on January 1st. All offices will include a two year term and are volunteer positions.

chevron_rightMay I rent the Center for a personal function?
Members in good standing who have been a member for at least six months may rent the Center when it is not in use by the membership. To reserve a date, a cash deposit of $200.00 must be paid at the time of application. The rental fee of $100.00 for 4 hours is paid at least one week in advance of the rental date. The deposit will be refunded after an inspection of the Center is completed (with no issues/concerns identified) immediately following the event . If you have questions or want to rent the center, please contact Ray Ade, Karen Erwin or Billie Caldwell. They handle all scheduling of rentals.

chevron_rightWhat is the Business Meeting I see on the calendar?
Our By-laws state that we will hold a General Business Meeting on the Wednesday after the second Monday of each month to conduct the business of the organization. It is the responsibility of every member to attend each meeting to understand what needs to be done to keep the Center operating and to have input as to what happens at the center. The meetings begin promptly at 9:30 AM and are usually completed in an hour or less.

chevron_rightWhen can I join?
You can join at any age. However, you must at least 55 to be a voting member.
Every member may attend the General Business Meeting, but only those 55 and over may vote.

chevron_rightWhere can I get help with my taxes?
The American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) will provide free tax assistance for seniors and low-income families and individuals at both the Fishers and Noblesville Libraries. AARP volunteers are trained, tested, and monitored by the IRS. Electronic filing is available. Assistance will be provided on a first come first served basis. Please bring your Social Security card, a government issued ID such as a driver’s license, and last year’s tax forms with you. For further information call 770-3235.
